Type Collage Posters For Summer

Come play with wood and metal type and print fun posters celebrating the summer! Participants will learn the basics of traditional hand typesetting and also experiment with arranging type in unusual shapes, as a kind of letter collage. We’ll be printing our posters on a Vandercook SP-15 repro press, which works well for these techniques.
Join us for a day of creative exploration in the printshop! Each participant will go home with a few posters that you can show to your family and friends or give away as gifts.
• Time: 10am-5pm
• Location: Book Arts League at Ewing farm in Lafayette.
• Cost: $90 for Book Arts League members, $100 for non-members. Materials fee is $10.
